AN INTRODUCTION TO RCH
Set up over 30 years ago, RCH Care Homes is a family-run business underpinned by a leading team of skilled and experienced care experts. The group provides care and support to older adults in care homes who need residential, nursing and/or dementia care; assisted living for younger adults with learning disabilities; and a specialist neuro-rehab unit for individuals with acquired brain injuries.
Our motto of where our family cares for your family extends to our teams as well as those in our care. We endeavour to create warm and welcoming environments where everyone receives person-centred care. Our passion for always evolving and innovating has helped us win a number of awards and ensures that we are always seeking to ever-improve the quality of care we provide.

Meet The Team
As the Operations Director for RCH, I am passionate about making sure that we are providing the best quality care. However, we can only do this by having the best teams who are fully supported and developed into their roles. Having only recently joined myself, I’ve been amazed at how supportive everyone is and the warm welcome I have received. Come along and join the RCH family – you won’t be disappointed!

Our teams are the beating heart of everything we do and so I’m passionate about creating and embedding processes and cultures in co-production with our teams which give them the support and tools they need to be able to work to the best of their abilities. The support I provide to different departments can range from innovation to streamlining efficiencies to helping to create an overarching infrastructure.

The importance of the environments our teams work in and our residents live in can’t be underestimated. I enjoy providing support to different departments whether it’s involvement with recent refurbishments, helping to create overarching infrastructure which supports a caring family culture, or encouraging the use of innovative technology – I definitely never thought the first place I’d experience virtual reality (VR) is in a care home!

Having worked for RCH for the last four years with a background of 15 years in Health and Social Care, I love working for RCH because of the family values and the team I work with. My role is very varied from onboarding of new starters to change management, from retention strategy to all people management matters.

Looking after those in our care, both teams and residents alike, includes looking after their physical environments too so I’m responsible for building and equipment maintenance and developments, ensuring that all members of our teams have a safe place to work.

Having come from a background in banking and finance, working in the care sector for the first time where I am overseeing all the financial activities for RCH has been a unique experience and I am fortunate to learn new things every day. It is a pleasure working with like-minded colleagues who are all very supportive and readily share their expertise in their respective areas.
